This series is for the student new to Ashtanga Yoga, a system of yoga introduced to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.
Ashtanga yoga is a strong athletic practice. It involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs.
The results are improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.
